This American Classic Government II AC 1911.45 ACP has a pristine hard chrome finish. It’s a .45 ACP semi-automatic with a 5-inch barrel, steel frame, and steel slide with Mil-Spec white dot Novak rear sight and a dovetail-mounted front sight.

For anyone used to shooting a 1911-style pistol, you know the trigger experience doesn’t get any better. The American classic is no exception; its skeletonized trigger offers an easy pull with a crisp break.

Tristar had ease and safety in mind with an intuitive pressure safety (that blocks trigger pull when engaged) along the back of the grip, which is released upon gripping the pistol. Also easily accessible and easy to use is the thumb safety (slide stop lever) located quickly by the right thumb at the back left side of the frame (when engaged, blocks the sear).

As with many 1911s, the American Classic offers a variety of configuration options, should you want to fine-tune it to your taste.
