I’m a fan of ambidextrous magazine releases and was also happy to see it on the M400.

Sig Sauer’s attention to detail and dedication to meeting shooters’ needs is apparent in the m400.

Ergonomics

The Sig Sauer M400 556 Nato Tread AR-15 Pistol provides exceptional comfort and control. Being a fan of the tailfin, I was disappointed to see them outlawed pending final litigation, but nonetheless, the m400’s ergonomics are on point. The pistol’s grip is contoured and textured to provide a secure and comfortable grip. The oversized trigger guard also provides plenty of room, and the weight and feel are perfect.

Overall, the Sig Sauer M400 556 Nato Tread AR-15’s ergonomics provide exceptional comfort and control. Whether shooting at the range, hunting in the field, or using the pistol for self-defense, you won’t be disappointed with this pistol’s ergonomics and overall feel.

The Sig Sauer M400 556 Nato Tread AR-15 Pistol PM400-11B-TRD’s finish is made to provide exceptional durability and resistance to wear and corrosion. The pistol features a black anodized aluminum receiver and handguard, which are both lightweight and durable.

In addition to the anodized aluminum receiver and handguard, the M400 also features a black nitride finish. The barrel, bolt carrier group, and gas block are all finished in black nitride. Nitriding is a process that impregnates the surface of the steel with nitrogen, creating a hard and corrosion-resistant surface. Safety

The safety features on this pistol are built to ensure easy access and maximum safety. The pistol has a manual ambidextrous safety on the lower receiver’s left and right sides. It can be engaged or disengaged with the flick of a finger.

Additionally, the pistol has a drop safety, which ensures that the gun will not fire if accidentally dropped. This feature is essential for those who use the gun for self-defense, as it ensures that the firearm will not accidentally discharge in the event of a fall or sudden impact.

Sights

The pistol has a Magpul MBUS (Magpul Back-Up Sight) Rear Sight. This didn’t create an issue because I plan on adding optics.

The Magpul MBUS (Magpul Back-Up Sight) Rear Sight is a durable and lightweight backup iron sight. It provides reliable target acquisition and aiming accuracy in the event of an optic failure. It is made from impact-resistant polymer and features a spring-loaded flip-up design allowing quick deployment and stowing.

The MBUS Rear Sight has a dual aperture design, with a small aperture for precision shooting and a large aperture for faster

target acquisition. The sight is adjustable for windage and has positive detents that click into place to ensure consistent zeroing.

The sight easily mounts on the M400’s MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail. It has a low profile that allows it to co-witness with most red dot sights and other optics.

Trigger

The M400’s trigger is a single-stage trigger, providing a consistent pull weight throughout its travel. It has a clean and crisp break and a quick reset. I didn’t have my gauge at the time of this review, but I will update it with pull weight. Although I typically upgrade triggers on many of my firearms, at this point, I wouldn’t feel the need to upgrade the M400’s trigger.
